My Wedding Anniversary with Thankful Thursday

Hello everyone! Today is my fourth wedding anniversary! I've been with Thomas for 14 years and now we've been married for 4 of those years. Time flies! I had so much fun at our wedding. I love looking back at our pictures and remembering all of the magic from the day. I wanted a fun wedding celebration, and it was such a dream come true.

We did everything we could to ensure all of our guests and wedding party felt as stress free as possible. I wanted it to be a fun weekend for everyone there.

I am grateful for the lovely memories I have now. I have beautiful pictures that one day my family will be able to look back through and enjoy.

We had a fun wedding weekend, followed by a fabulous honeymoon in Portsmouth NH. Yeah, we actually took our honeymoon here in Portsmouth, and then a year later decided to move up here. We truly love it here.

And in true Thankful Thursday fashion, I will now list some things I am so grateful for. Here you go!

1. My darling husband and our marriage. I love being married to him so much. We are a great team. I have loved our life together so far, and I am excited for when/if we start seeing changes in our life.

2. Taylor and Travis' engagement! OMG! How exciting!!!

3. My sister, Rachel, has her new place almost ready to move into! It looks so good. She's put in a lot of work and it is paying off. I can't wait to stay with her when we go back to VA.

4. Being off this weekend! I need a couple days off after a long week/weekend at work.

5. Going for morning walks with my dogs. I started doing this over the weekend before work, and I have really enjoyed it. I'm going to keep it up, weather permitting. It's a great way to get some light exercise, fresh air, and clear my mind.

6. The blanket I'm making for my mom and stepdad is really coming along! I do need to run and get more yarn, but I'm pleased with the progress so far.

Thank you for reading today! I will see you tomorrow for my post on the last Friday of the month. Then it will be the -ber months, and if you're like me, you know it means fall's cozy season is here!

Our Last Monday in August

Good morning! I am glad you're here 😄. Today I want to talk about what I am currently crocheting. Grab your crochet hooks, a cup of coffee, and let's get into it! I took this a few weeks ago, one Sunday evening. Thomas and I were hanging out on the deck with our dogs, enjoying the warm weather. I should be finishing up with these hot-girl squares and I'll let you know what I make of them! I learned how to make a new hot-girl square... a skull hot-girl square! They are so cute and so much easier than I thought they would be! I decided to learn how to make them one morning a couple weeks ago when Thomas and I were at the beach. It was a perfect morning. We grabbed iced lattes and acai bowls from our favorite beachside cafe, and enjoyed the entire morning in the sand.  My first one kind of resembled a storm trooper, but I have gotten a little better since this picture! I also decided that I am going to make blankets for my family and friends. I have mentioned this before, b...

Fall 2025 Goals!

Hello! I don't know about you, but I am absolutely ready for this long weekend. I have had a crazy week at work.  Anyway, I want to dedicate this post to my Fall 2025 Goals!  In no particular order, here is a list of some of my goals: 1. Decorate - I want to go all out this year. I have a blow up Snoopy and Great Pumpkin inflatable in my Walmart shopping cart online. I want to have a pretty assortment of pumpkins out on my stoop. Last year, we didn't really have decorations up for the trick-or-treaters, and I want to go all out this year. I will definitely be posting pictures of my progress! 2. Watch lots of football - This will be easy as my husband, Thomas, has an entire room in our house dedicated to watching games. Of course, I will be crocheting blankets while he has the game on tv.  3. Dress up for Halloween - We will probably go to one of our friend's Halloween parties this year, and I am excited to dress up! I'm not sure what Thomas and I will go as, but I am ex...

Decor, Discipline, and Maybe even a Scented Candle🍂🕯️

Good morning, reader! I feel a mindful essay coming on! Grab a coffee and maybe a notebook, because this essay has some numbered bullet points!  I have been thinking about discipline a lot lately. I feel like it goes hand in hand with attention span, self-awareness, and ambition. Is it becoming more and more rare? They say with smart phones, everyone's attention spans are diminishing. I have noticed this with myself sometimes. This is not a judgement- just an observation I've made about myself and the world around me. And I want to refine it for myself. I want to be disciplined so that I can live my dream life.  I am dedicating this post to 3 ways to be more disciplined in a world that has little to none. So, let's begin! 1. Why do you want this? I believe you should first recognize why you want to achieve something. Is it for your health? Is it for your career? Maybe it's less extreme than that. Maybe it's for your home to be decorated for Halloween. Whatever it ...
