Fall 2025 Goals!

Hello! I don't know about you, but I am absolutely ready for this long weekend. I have had a crazy week at work.  Anyway, I want to dedicate this post to my Fall 2025 Goals!  In no particular order, here is a list of some of my goals: 1. Decorate - I want to go all out this year. I have a blow up Snoopy and Great Pumpkin inflatable in my Walmart shopping cart online. I want to have a pretty assortment of pumpkins out on my stoop. Last year, we didn't really have decorations up for the trick-or-treaters, and I want to go all out this year. I will definitely be posting pictures of my progress! 2. Watch lots of football - This will be easy as my husband, Thomas, has an entire room in our house dedicated to watching games. Of course, I will be crocheting blankets while he has the game on tv.  3. Dress up for Halloween - We will probably go to one of our friend's Halloween parties this year, and I am excited to dress up! I'm not sure what Thomas and I will go as, but I am ex...

My Wedding Anniversary with Thankful Thursday

Hello everyone! Today is my fourth wedding anniversary! I've been with Thomas for 14 years and now we've been married for 4 of those years. Time flies! I had so much fun at our wedding. I love looking back at our pictures and remembering all of the magic from the day. I wanted a fun wedding celebration, and it was such a dream come true.  We did everything we could to ensure all of our guests and wedding party felt as stress free as possible. I wanted it to be a fun weekend for everyone there.  I am grateful for the lovely memories I have now. I have beautiful pictures that one day my family will be able to look back through and enjoy.  We had a fun wedding weekend, followed by a fabulous honeymoon in Portsmouth NH. Yeah, we actually took our honeymoon here in Portsmouth, and then a year later decided to move up here. We truly love it here.  And in true Thankful Thursday fashion, I will now list some things I am so grateful for. Here you go! 1. My darl...

Kindness by Intentional Design

Good morning, reader! I am going on a bit of a rant today. I want to talk about something that has been on my mind and in my heart lately. I've been thinking about the saying "live out your eulogy" recently, probably because I've also been thinking about my dear uncle's funeral and how my family will pay for it (by the way, thank you to everyone who has helped us out). I believe I read first read this saying on someone's Facebook post or blog post and it really stuck with me. That saying, to me, means that you have to be intentional on a daily basis. Do you want to be remembered as the person who was kind a   few times   or who was   always  kind? It's kind of like either living your life by chance/accident or living your life with intentionality. To go back to my living as a kind person example, were you only kind 2 or 3 times and they were very isolated events? Or were you actively searching for opportunities to be kind? And to be clear, this isn't...

My Favorite TV Shows

Hello and welcome back! This is a random post, but I am having fun with it today! I am going to list 10 of my favorite TV shows in order from least favorite to most favorite. This is challenging because some of my favorite shows had AMAZING seasons and then the last season was a complete flop for me. So, I will specify when that is the case.  Let's begin. 10. The Vampire Diaries - Damon. No, I'm just kidding! I loved this show so much. My sister watched it way before I did. I had caught some of the episodes with her and thought this show was way to ridiculous, but then I started watching it, and omg. It is great. It gets better as it goes on, which is so crazy. I loved watching this show. Plus, it's great to have on during the fall. Vampires, witches and werewolves are perfect for spooky season.  9. Ted Lasso - This show made me feel so happy. Every episode made me want to be a better person. I love positive people. Some people love being miserable and negative; I...

Our Last Monday in August

Good morning! I am glad you're here 😄. Today I want to talk about what I am currently crocheting. Grab your crochet hooks, a cup of coffee, and let's get into it! I took this a few weeks ago, one Sunday evening. Thomas and I were hanging out on the deck with our dogs, enjoying the warm weather. I should be finishing up with these hot-girl squares and I'll let you know what I make of them! I learned how to make a new hot-girl square... a skull hot-girl square! They are so cute and so much easier than I thought they would be! I decided to learn how to make them one morning a couple weeks ago when Thomas and I were at the beach. It was a perfect morning. We grabbed iced lattes and acai bowls from our favorite beachside cafe, and enjoyed the entire morning in the sand.  My first one kind of resembled a storm trooper, but I have gotten a little better since this picture! I also decided that I am going to make blankets for my family and friends. I have mentioned this before, b...

New Work Out

Hello and welcome! It's Friday! We made it to the end of the week! I hope everyone has a lovely and safe weekend.  Today I will be writing about my new workout plan. I am in no way any kind of trainer or even in shape for that matter, but this is the simple workout of a retail pharmacist, who's always tired, doesn't have any children yet, and wants to look and be healthy. With my new work schedule, I am able to work out more days per week because I have more shorter shifts. I would MUCH rather workout on a day that I worked than one of my days off. My days off are for doing literally anything else, i.e. going to the beach, going shopping, getting my hair done, going out with friends.  Right now, I try to work out every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I do weightlift exercises, usually an upper body or lower body work out, alternating the two and I finish up with an ab workout every time. My workouts are never longer than 45 minutes, but I am sweaty and sore afterwa...

Thankful Thursday Plus A Recap...

Good morning, everyone! I know it has been a while since you've heard from me. Almost a month ago, my dear uncle died unexpectedly of a heart attack at the young age of 45. This has devastated my family. Please pray for peace and comfort. We know he was saved and is now in the heavenly kingdom.  It is Thursday after all, so let's get into another Thankful Thursday post, shall we?  In no particular order: My health. I try not to take it for granted. I want to take care of my body and mind so that I can live a healthy life.  This perfect relaxing morning has been such a treat. It is just what I needed. It's just the pets and me. I started a load of laundry while my latte was brewing, had a great quiet time, and now I'm back on my blog. The weather dropped a couple days ago here in Portsmouth, and we have our windows opened. It's still nice out, but there is a crispness in the air... perfect.  My husband is always wonderful and dreamy, but he really came through...
